Easy Home made Radish Pickle

Home Made Radish pickle is easy to make. Just clean and cut about 4 white radishes into finger sizes like french fries and dry in the sun for a day until they are wrinkled and slightly dry but not completely dry of moisture.
Then take about 5 spoonfuls of mustard seed and dry roast in a pan. When cooled down, pound to a powder. Mix this with the dried radish. Add a few dried chillies ( whatever amount you like as the more you add, the hotter the pickle will be), about 2-3 teaspoons of salt, half a cup of mustard oil and juice of half a lemon squeezed. You may also add a teaspoon of garam masala if you like. Its optional. Mix in a bowl well with your hands and put in a glass jar.
Leave this jar out in a sunny place for a week or ten days and your pickle is ready to eat. You can eat it with rice and curry or Indian flat bread. Delicious. Hope you will try it and like it. Enjoy!!
